Common questions
I found a guide that no longer works. What do you need from me?
The page link, your game version and edition, and what happened instead of what the guide said. Version is the important part – most broken guides are a change Mojang made rather than an error on our side, and knowing the version tells us which one.
Will you review my mod, map or texture pack?
Maybe. Send the project page, the loaders and versions it supports, and a line on what it does that similar projects do not. We install everything ourselves and publish what we actually find, so a review is not a guarantee of a good review.
Can I pay for a post or a link?
No. Nothing on the site is paid for, and we do not sell links or sponsored placements. If that ever changes, it will be labelled clearly on the post itself.
Can I use your screenshots or republish a guide?
Short quotes with a link back are fine. Republishing a full post is not. For screenshots we took ourselves, ask first and we will usually say yes. Images from other sources are credited at the bottom of each post – ask their owner, not us.
Are you affiliated with Mojang?
No. EXG Gaming is an independent fan site with no connection to Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios.
